Modern logistic centers are based on rapid passage of goods, and on maintaining efficiency in cargo loading and unloading. Because of this pressure, many accidents occur during unloading and loading. Most of these relate to lack of communication between the truck driver and the workers at the loading platform.
Arnold radio frequency wedge systems are designed for safe loading processes. The Arnold wedge system is connected to the control of the loading ramp and prevents the use of the ramp if the wedge is not placed under the wheel. The wedge, removed during loading, gives a warning light and sound signal to the person doing the loading, thereby avoiding serious accidents. The wedge position monitoring sensor ensures that the wedge is always stored in the designated place when there is no loading on the ramp. The wedge is thus always stored in its designated place, in its own holder.
How it is working?
- The truck pulls up at the ramp and secures the vehicle with the Arnold wedge, the truck driver's light turns red.
- The forklift driver's light changes to green, it is possible to open the electronic gate.
- When loading is complete, the forklift driver uses the control unit to signal the end of loading and lower the gate.
- The forklift driver's light turns red and the truck driver's light turns green.
